I've been able to use the SET command to create a number of WHERE clauses for a table. The only WHERE clause being difficult is when it's trying to have a single alphanumeric code passed through the variable otherwise it works.(see below)

Doesn't Work:
-SET &WHERE2=IF &SELECTION EQ 2 THEN 'WHERE ACAD_LOCATION EQ '|'&LOC.EVAL' ELSE '';

Works:
SET &WHERE2=IF &SELECTION EQ 2 THEN 'WHERE (ACAD_LOCATION EQ '|&LOC.(OR(FIND ACAD_LOCATION IN ACAD_CREDENTIALS_ODS)).Select Degree Completion Location.||')' ELSE '';

Thanks in advance for the help.

Using WF Version 7.6.9

The first one you only have 3 tic marks. You need a 4th to close it.

Thanks, Prarie. That seemed to do it. Thought I had checked the tic marks carefully but apparently not.

Working Version:
-SET &WHERE2=IF &SELECTION EQ 2 THEN 'WHERE ACAD_LOCATION EQ '|''&LOC.EVAL''' ELSE '';

Good Catch Prarie.
klcc: Consider doing "... ELSE '-* No WHERE2 statement" instead of "''". That way an analyst can do a View Source and see the value of the selection statement either way... Just a thought from past experience...
