Page 2-19 of the "WebFOCUS Developer Studio Installation and Configuration (5.3)" document says: "Specific versions of the xerces.jar and xlan.jar are required for features such as OLAP". It goes on to explain that it is possible to use the diagnotic tool of the Administation Console to check XML Processing to confirm that you have the right files. This doesn't work. When you click the link nothing happens. Accoring to IBI this is an known issue without and work-around.

Bottom line: Can someone please tell me which version of these files I need if I am going to be running OLAP reports.

Thanks!

Not sure what you need, but most jar files like that contain a manifest.mf file that should tell you what version you have.

Hi Cindy,

According to the WF Admin Console, WebFOCUS requires the following versions for features such as OLAP and Auto Prompting:
xerces.jar - Xerces 1.4.4
xalan.jar - Xalan Java 2.2.D14

In WF71 this is not an issue, only in 53.

Hope this helps. Smiler

Cheers,

Kerry
