We are using WebFOCUS version 7.6.4 and we had a problem downloading reports in EXL2K. When we downloaded an Excel file, it previously used to be created as WFservlet.xls, so we got the option to display it in the browser. But then it changed (I am not sure why) and it would download as WFservlet without any extension, so we would have to save it with the xls extension before viewing it. We called IBI and the representative was able to find how to set it back to the way it worked before. The solution is different for earlier or later versions of WebFOCUS.
For Webfocus version 7.6.4 this is how we fixed it:
1. Go to WebFOCUS main console
2. Go to WebFOCUS Administration Console. Sign in as administrator.
3. Select Configuration (from boxes on the left)
4. Select Redirection Settings
5. For the WebFOCUS extension .xls, make redirect equal to “yes”
6. Select Reporting Servers (from boxes on the left)
7. Select Remote Servers
8. Select EDASERVE, then click on Server Console
9. Click on Workspace on the top menu. Select Configuration/Monitor.
10. Select Configuration Files
11. Select Server Profile (edasprof). Double click on it.
12. Add the following commands: SET EXCELSERVURL=’ ‘ SET WEBARCHIVE=OFFThis message has been edited. Last edited by: Tamra,
