I have a group of business managers that are responsible for defining a set of standard reports for the organization. I want to give them some reference material about good report design standards and have not had any luck finding anything sucha as a tip sheet, white paper, article or book. I have searched the leading BI-related websites/forums, TDWI website and the IBI website as well as Amazon.com but have not found anything about report design or design standards. Does anyone have any reference material or know of any I can access that I can provide to these business managers to give them some ideas for setting some design standards to use for thier reports? Any reference material suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Tony A and Susannah gave a good presentation at Summit on this subject. Hopefully someone can hook you up with it..

Not that I'm aware, however try a search on "designing reports" rather than standards might find something you can use.
One I found that is on Amazon had some potential lists below it
http://www.amazon.com/Designing-Technical-Reports-Audie...ations/dp/0023770953

A lot look as if they are textbooks.

If my memory serves me correctly, I think T's and S's presentation was primarily coding standards, not report design standards.

This sounds like a great opportunity for a Focal Point Article! Anyone interested in tackling this topic?

Thanks!

Mickey
