I need to create a continuous report without page breaks or extra blank lines in format DHTML. I tried SET LINES=999999, which works in format HTML, but that doesn't work for me in format DHTML. SET PAGE=NOPAGE also doesn't work. In DHTML I always get sets of blank lines, which I presume are page breaks, within the report output in the web browser. Does anyone know how to eliminate these blank lines in DHTML?
WebFOCUS Developer Studio version 7.6.1 on Windows, Oracle databases, output format DHTML
I would suggest having a look through the source for your DHTML output, I guess that it is not what you would expect?
Each output row within the DHTML is enclosed within it's own DIV tags and these are then in turn enclosed within a DIV for each page of data.
The CSS included for each row of data output has the "position:absolute;" and this is where your problem will lie. Each page of data starts the data row positioning at 18pts from the top of the virtual page. If you were to remove the page break code within the BR tag (style="position:static; page-break-before:always;") then your pages of DHTML output would overlay each other.
Is there another format that you could use instead of DHTML? What is you target audience / process for the report output? Perhaps we could suggest alternatives for you to try?
