We have a batch job that creates WebFocus reports. The Report Server is running under Windows 2000.
We start the WebFocus execution using TSCOM300. In some recent discusions people have mentioned using EDASTART. EDASTART executes TSCOM300.EXE.

Are there any problems executing TSCOM300.EXE directly?

Thank you,

Lenny Ward

To my understanding EDASTART sets some environment variables (EDAHOME, EDACONF, etc) before executing TSCOM300.EXE. If you are calling this directly, you will have to set these variables explicity through some other means.

Hope this helps!
