Are you saying when you click on the Insert tab the options to add a list box or drop down box are greyed out or can you put those objects on the document and when you list the properties you can't click on the Cascades tab?

No Chuck. I have created a active doc using app studio 8104. this doc is containing 4 charts(pie, bar and line chart type).II want following functionality in doc:- If I will click on any of the pie slice, data should filter on other chart also.To achieve above functionality, I want to apply chaining features between the charts.
So I have selected two charts and navigate to Utilities tab->Chaining Chunk-> try to click ADD and Remove chain Item
Do all of your charts require the same parameters? That will need to be the case before you can enable coordinated content refresh. I think I vaguely remember them talking on the need for something called a coordinated parameter set or something along those lines to get that type of functionality working. Can't remember which version you have to be on though either.
Best of luck!
8.2.02M (production), 8.2.02M (test), Windows 10, all outputs.

Now I am with you, I have the same issue and I don't know how to enable the chaining. I think each chart needs a filter on a common parameter name and use the autoprompt to make the selection. If this does not help I think you should open a case with techsupport.

The only suggestion I have is to put a paramteterized where statement in each fex using the same parameter(s) and then the autoprompt will allow you to make the selection(s) and have the charts update based on those selection(s)
