Can you please let us know what output format you are using in this case? Based on my research, the PNG (Portable Network Graphics) is currently available only with format
HTML not PDF. GIF & SVG is the only thing available with format PDF. This is true for both WebFOCUS 5.3 and 7.1.4.

If the information above does not help, please post a sample code to the topic using either the most favorite CAR file or other IBI sample data file to illustrate the problem better.

Has this issue been resolved on your side?

I tried your sample code on WebFOCUS 711 and 714, and it generates PNG graphs (as well as GIF and JPEG formats) in both releases. I am wondering, when you receive the error message, are you trying to include the graph generated by the code in a PDF or HTML report?

Check the setting for graphengine under the WF client console, under configuration -> graph. Make sure it's set for GRAPH53

It was set to Graph32. Changed to Graph53.
