I have been looking for a few keyboard shortcuts for WF Dev Studio, particularly Run (File > Run) for the Procedure Viewer and/or the Command Console and Uppercase also in the Procedure Viewer.

For what it's worth, I have found the following, maybe someone has the one I'm looking for?


  • Back (Cycle backwards through commands): Ctrl + Shift + [Up Arrow]
  • Forward (Cycle forwards through commands): Ctrl + Shift + [Down Arrow]
  • Lowercase (in Procedure Viewer): Ctrl + U

  • Ctrl + L : Delete current line


In Dev.Studio 7.6.10:
  • Ctrl + S : Save file and lose your current cursor position Mad


Sorry, this last one is obviously unrelated to the post but I just felt like expressing my frustration once more about this annoying behaviour Frowner There is a separate thread on that topic but for some reason I can no longer find it ... none of the keywords I use render anything useful. I'll probably need a crash course on how to use Focal Point Eeker Anyway, sorry about hacking your post, ABT.

I have finally stumbled across the shortcut that started this thread (last/previous command in Command Console).

In Dev Studio 7.6.11, you can cycle the previous commands with: CTRL + SHIFT + UP Arrow

CTRL + SHIFT + DOWN Arrow goes Forward through the commands.

... but NOT in 7.6.11 (yes, I've moved on from 7.1.6 at last Wink) Interesting behaviour as it saves, and then appears to scroll down to your cursor position! It also leaves the asterisk depicting unsaved when you do a "Save As".

Oh, and F5 in editor to run the fex (In 7.6.9 onwards I believe?).
