I created a report with FORMAT EXL2K PIVOT and it displays the report correctly and I can also make the selection in the pivot table, as long as the data range is small. But when the data range is large it does not allow me to make a selection in the pivot table. it says "This pivot table report is not valid" Does anyone have any suggestions??? thanksThis message has been edited. Can you please update your signature to let us know what release of WebFOCUS, what product(s), the platform, Application/Web Server, and the expected output format(s) you are using?
I ran some search on pivot table and found out that the error message is quite generic that does not give much clue on the cause of problem. I am wondering, can you please post a sample code using the CAR file (or other IBI-sample data files) to better illustrate the scenario?
Thank you in advance for sharing with all.
Cheers,
Kerry

You may want to check the data. With WebFOCUS it's case sensitive, with MS Excel it's case insensitive, it's quite possible that you may have duplicate data, which generates an invalid Pivot Table
Hello , I have a report on Webfocus which on performing an extract operation, gives out the report and the pivot table that I make after selecting the data gives out unnecessary spaces for columns. How do I remove these spaces ??
Also I have tried to trim and remove extra spaces by replace options but doing so will disturb the composition of columns in report which are required to stay that way
