I accidentally sent this before finishing. So starting again...

I'm trying to set up a report in report caster to pass a date parameter of the system_date - 1 day. Can a date function be used when setting up the parameter in report caster?

The same report can also be run on demand with the user entering the date parameter, so I can't do the day subtraction in the report.

Thanks for your help!

Bethany, I don't think you can pass a date parameter as system_date - 1. What you could do is the following:

In the fex, default a new parameter eg. Run Type to "User":
-DEFAULT &RUN_TYPE = 'USER';

In the Report Caster schedule, set &RUN_TYPE to 'CASTER'.

In the fex you will now be able to test if the execution is from Report Caster or from a user request - and set the date accordingly.
