I'm trying to pass the value of a checkbox in an HTML report that will open a XLS report when clicked. If the checkbox is checked I want it to show a different field in the report column, and if not then show a different value in the report column.
My question is how do I get the value of the checkbox to pass back to the same report? I've tried looking at this example: http://forums.informationbuild...432%3Fr%3D978102532, but I have been unable to get that to work. This is WebFOCUS 5.2.3.This message has been edited. A couple of ways you can do this but probably the least coding method is to use your existing JavaScript function to capture and add the value something like this (I've assumed that this is within -HTMLFORM BEGIN)-
However, I stress that this is just one way of achieving it and the JavaScript I've added is designed to be readable and understandable by you and therefore does not use the more general IF syntax (before anyone jumps in and says the JavaScript is archaic!).
Hopefully this will help you to understand what you are achieving and therefore be able to progress.
