I was reading documentation that indicates that there is a limit on the number of & variables that can exist at one time. It had it listed at 384? Does this or any other limit still exist?
From "WebFOCUS Developing Reporting Applications Version 5 Release 2" - "Creating and Working With Variables"
quote:
The following features apply to all variables: A variable stores numbers or a string of text and can be placed anywhere in a procedure. A variable can refer to a command, a data source field, a verb, or a phrase. The maximum number of variables allowed in a procedure is 1,024. Because approximately 40 are reserved for server use, the maximum number of user-named variables allowed in a procedure is 984. The total length of all variable values cannot exceed 32K. A variable can be supplied directly in the command, when you execute the procedure, or through the -DEFAULT, -SET, or -READ commands in the procedure.
