Hi all,

I have set some style to my report and after that I put the HEADALIGN=BODY attribute to the HEADING in order to align the HEADER ITEMs to the DATA COLUMNS. The result of the report was very strange because the HEADING style was mixed with the TITLE style. Here is the CODE:

Do you know what is the reason for the mixed styles?

At first glance, you have multiple sets of TYPE=HEADING blocks for lines and items, the second set having JUSTIFY=CENTER.

Try taking out one set or the other. That will at least give you less to debug.

Sorry GinnyJakes, the double HEADING styles was my mistake. I have removed it but the result is the same..

If I change the HEADALIGN attribute to INTERNALL the style is OK but I need to set HEADALIGN=BODY.

Somehow the TITLE style affects on the HEADING items.

Try and understand how WF is compiling the resultant HTML and you might be able to understand.

Run a version of each - BODY and INTERNAL and view source. Look at the tags surrounding your HEADING values. You will notice that HEADALIGN=BODY does just that, it allocates the same number of "cells" (TDs in HTML) as there are columns in the BODY (and that's the important phrase) of your report. If you look at the source for HEADALIGN=INTERNAL, you will see that the heading text is enclosed within it's own internal table tags.

Now you know how to adjust the COLSPAN syntax in your TYPE=HEADING styling to effect the output you require.

Remember to view source of HTML output when you have a different result to what you expect, understand it and then make your changes.

I would reiterate what Tony said but will also add this:

Think it through one item at a time. Use the HEADALIGN=BODY and get one where you want it before attempting to position the next HEADING element.
