Using a java program we can launch internet explorer and call a report that output in PDF. The report is showing vertical and horizontal text . The user can then print it from the printer on his machine.
But if we schedule this report on report caster and instruct it to send it directly to the printer, we get a blank page with 4 lines on the top left: User : CASTER Host: Class : Job : Report.pdf.
Looking to the reportcaster log there is no error.
Any idea about what could be the cause?

Only the more complex printers are going to be able to know what do do with a PDF document that is sent in a native stream (as opposed to being printed from Adobe Acrobat.) As JG mentions, the platform that is distributing the report also makes a difference.
Unless you have a printer that has a queue that knows how to handle a PDF document, you're not going to get this to work. I would suggest changing the output in ReportCaster to PS (Postscript) if you are distributing to a printer. Output should be nearly identical.
