Hi,
I have a date field in Datasource table in DMYY format. I want to convert the date in QTR-YEAR format. E.g, if date is 06/02/2013 it should be displayed as Q4 2013, for 05/06/2013 it should be Q1-2013. I tried to use FIYYQ function but it is not working in in 7611. Is there any workaround to handle this in WF7611? Please suggest.

Thanks in Advance.

You can add the number of days necessary to adjust your date to a fiscal date using the DATEADD Function and display as a quarter. You may have to use one of the other date functions to setup the source date properly.

For example:

DEFINE FILE EMPLOYEE
FIDATE/YQ=DATEADD(DATECVT(EMPLOYEE.EMPINFO.HIRE_DATE, 'I6YMD', 'YMD'), 'D', 90);
FIDATE2/QY=DATEADD(DATECVT(EMPLOYEE.EMPINFO.HIRE_DATE, 'I6YMD', 'YMD'), 'D', 90);
END
TABLE FILE EMPLOYEE
PRINT
     EMPLOYEE.EMPINFO.EMP_ID
     EMPLOYEE.EMPINFO.HIRE_DATE
     EMPLOYEE.EMPINFO.FIDATE
     EMPLOYEE.EMPINFO.FIDATE2
END

Can you double check your dates in the post.

06/02/2013 = Q4 2013
05/06/2013 = Q1-2013

No matter which way the date format could be the QYY output does not match.

Are your Quarters non standard ?
