I am using Developer studio 767. When I use format exl2k I get this message but only after I have run my first fex after a reboot. So it works once then the No query... message unless I reboot. Anyone have a similar problem? I searched but didn't find any situation where it would sometimes work and sometimes not. Other dev studio users in my group do not have this problem. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,
gsi, I've seen this error. I corrected it.On the report, right click properties -"Check" Promt for parameter. Then I ran the report, now it working fine for me. I hope this info may help you,
Thank you Vijaya. Unfortunately this did not solve my problem. I think the problem is that excel.exe remains open after closing the webfocus excel report. When I manually kill the excel.exe from the task manager the next report will run normaly.
When this problem occurs it is usually due to IE settings. DevStudio is sending the query string, but inbetween DevStudio and the WebFOCUS Client IE is intercepting/stopping the query string.
As MattC pointed out, adding your WebFOCUS Client to the "Trusted" internet zone will often bypass any prohibitive IE settings.
Proxy servers within the network can also influence this, as can not registering the Developer Studio dll's (e.g. Running DevStudio as a different user than who originally installed the software).
The following should register most of the dll's C:\ibi\DevStudio76\Utilities\import_reg.bat
