We had an issue where an *.html page became unresponsive with a script70 permission denied message.

We had a dropdown - that fired some onchange JavaScript. JavaScript was as follows:

My JavaScript, in a nutshell, clears our the iFrame – then pushes a hidden button that has a task tied to it to run a report an stick it back into said iFrame.

This was a confusing one - as it worked for many people - but occasionally threw the error - then the page turns into a brick.

After some research - it appeared to be with javascript getting "hook" to iFrame.


The issue appears to be Client side JavaScipt doing a clear of the iFrame – at the same time as the click button trying to also put stuff into the same iFrame. It looks like, depending upon latency, the two statements fight for the iFrame. (Bit of speculation on my part - but appears to be true).

In the end - I just re-wired the JavaScript to NOT clear the frame - then click the button.

Figured I share in case anyone else sees the script70 permission denied issue.
