REMOVNG A COLUMN FROM THE METADATA
Hi,
Am working on Webfocus 5.2 and will be moving into 5.2.4 shortly.
We have a meta data created for a table TABLEA from SQL server which has 10 columns in it. We are planning to remove one column (which is not used by any of our reports) from this table late in this year. Would like to test my reports well before the column is actually dropped from the database by removing that column from the master file. Please advise whether I can do that or do i need to wait until that column is really dropped from the table and then need to recreate the master file.

You do not have to include all of the existing columns from a relational data source in the master file. You should be fine removing it now.

Hi Piipster,
Have tried removing the column from the metadata (.mas) file. But the column is still available in the table. It works fine.

Thanks so much for the help.
