Can other users share reports? If so, I'd backup the user's reports and delete the user and recreate in MRE. Then test to see if he/she can share reports.

Thanks,
Sayed

I know this is not related, at least I don't think so. I also know that this is a stupid thing to do. But I see your on 7.6.10 and I saw a problem with Dev Studio a few weeks ago with that version.

Here is the scenario: Two developers are working on different reports in the their own DEV Domains, but they are coping updates to their reports in another, shared Domain for others to test.

Developer 1 decides to move updates to the report located in the shared domain, he opens his report in the text editor, in the DEV domain, ctr-a then ctr-c to copy them. Selects the shared Domain (which is sorted on the 'Modified' column) opens his report in the text editor, in the shared domain, ctr-a then ctr-v to paste then closes the file and save it.

A couple of minutes later, he gets a call that he has written over the other developers code.

What appears to happen is that when you open the Domain folder, and you select your file to update and it's near or at the top because you've been updating often. But right before you open the file, the other developer updates his file, so at the file level, his file is the most up to date.

Your DS still lists your file at the top but what you don't know is that under the covers, it's really another file.

So, don't update while someone else is updating, and don't sort your DS by the 'Modified' column.

Hope this helps someone

Sayed yes i see shared reports of other user as an admin i see all shared reports of all users in developer studio. but reports of that user are not available user's folder does not exist in developer studio and BID. but then i login as that user her reports are clearly seen to me. I'll try to recreate it.

Don Garland this is not my case cos i'm the only one using dev studio. All other users have rights to create reports in report assistant and graph assistant only.
