I am using WebFOCUS 5.2.1 under windows 2000. I have 6 multi select boxes on the parameter screen. I think that Focus is bogging down going through the repeat loops. If so, what can I do to overcome this? I have tried to run TABLEF and do the first 3 multiselects and that has not seemed to help.
Checked the WebFOCUS 5 Developing Reporting Application Guide and could not find any limit on the number of multi-select boxes. From what you describe below having 6 which isn't a lot but you note repeat loops could be an issue. You need to review what the data source is that you area accessing and how many records you are selecting or going through to obtain the answer set and how large the answer set is. Are you using any index fields to retrieve the information?
I would recommend scaling the request back to add things incrementally to pin-point any performance issue.
