We are trying to create a launch page for a WebFocus report in FrontPage using dropdown boxes for our parameter selection. In the first box the user selects the Region they want to report on. In the second box they select the store number they want to report on. We would like them to only see the store numbers that belong to the region that was selected in the first box. So the second box is dependant on the first box's value. Does anyone know of a simple way to do this? We are very new to IBI so would appreciate any help. Thanks

Hi Melissa,

You can do this in couple of ways.

1. If you are using static values for Region and Store (provided you don't have too many Regions and Stores), then you need to use arrays in JavaScript. One htm file and one fex file are enough to generate a report.

2. But, if the values for Region and Store are dynamic, then you need to use frames and you need atleast three fex files. One for getting the values for Region, one for getting the values for Store and one for generating a report.

Obviously, step 1 is relatively simple if you are using static values and don't have too many values for Region and Store!
