I'm a long time Focus mainframe developer. I just installed Developer Studio and wrote a procedure to create a Visual Discovery file using "on table save". Everything is working fine but I don't have a clue where Focus stored this file. Can anyone tell me?

It stored the file in a temp directory that was then promptly deleted at the end of the request.

Use the command
APP HOLDDATA directory-name

before the table request to target one of the /ibi/apps directories for the output.

e.g.
APP HOLDDATA baseapp

I need to save this file permanently. Is APP HOLDDATA will keep the data after the procedure is done?

Yes. It will save it in the directory specified.

If you have a hold file that you want to save both the master and the file, you can issue APP HOLD dirname. APP HOLDMETA only holds the master.
