I would like to add a fex to the edasprof to do the following capture the following and write it to an external file DBMS 1) User id 2) FEX 3) SQL generated.
Any snippets of code that acheives this would be greatly aprreciated.

1 and 2 have been asked and covered many times before, however 3 will not be available at the time EDASPROF is parsed and would have to be achieved in the fex itself. You would have to trap the SQL (using code that Francis has pointed out many times ). This used to be done on the mainframe via a filedef to FSTRACE4 but not sure whether this is still possible on other platforms (you haven't put your platform in your signature).
As you want to write out all 3, I would be inclined to action this within your fex.
