I am trying to run a small table copy query in WebFOCUS that would copy a table from an SQL Server to the same database folder on that SQL server and am receiving this error:
(FOC1400) SQLCODE IS -1 (HEX: FFFFFFFF) XOPEN: 00000 : (-1) [00000] JDBFOC>> describecols(): error: getMetaData call on stmt : returned null ResultSetMetaData object! L (FOC1405) SQL PREPARE ERROR.
I have researched the error and found information for SYBASE, but the solution does not seem to apply for WebFOCUS.
Here is the query being run:
SQL SQLMSS SET SERVER CPF SQL SQLMSS SELECT * INTO dbo.SUSAN_BRNCH_HIER FROM dbo.BRNCH_HIER END

Lots of views on your post but no responses. I'm not and SQL guru, but here are a couple of ideas:
Most SQL passthru queries require a ; at the end for WF to process them correctly. If you put a ; at the end of the last line before the END does that change anything?
Does this require an INSERT INTO instead of SELECT INTO?
Does the SUSAN_BRNCH_HIER table already exist in SQL server and are the privileges set correctly?
Does this query run without problem if executed in a SQL server tool? If not, that's the first thing to look at. If so, try setting up a stored procedure in SQL server and then executing it from WF
SQL SQLMSS SET SERVER CPF SQL SQLMSS EX fullyqualified.storedprocedurename
