[CLOSED] How to use @STARTUP on LINUX to verify if the RC distribution servers are u
Does anyone have a technigue on how to use @STARTUP on LINUX to verify if the ReportCaster distribution servers are up and running?
Or is there a FEX that can be written that
'pings' the distribution servers to see if
they are running? Any suggestions? We are running 7.7.03M on our reporting servers.

Thanks in advance for any ideas!
Rhonda

Hi,

In Unix/Solaris, we use netstat command to see if the report caster port is listening.

You can try out similar command in linux.

Thanks,
Ram

you can Log in to WebFOCUS Admin Console, within Reportcaster block you can check status and you can enable trace to identify the road block.

Thanks

We were looking for more of a programatical and/or automated way of checking and then being notified.
