My MS SQL DBA has created a stored procedure that returns two datasets when excuted. And when I run the SP on SQL server I get two result tables; However when I execute it using the following code via WebFocus I only get the first datset returned via the SQLOUT table. My question is the second datset coming back under a different name like SQLOUT2? can I access the second datset somehow? Anyone had experience with this. My code follows:
ENGINE SQLMSS SET TRANSACTIONS AUTOCOMMITTED ENGINE SQLMSS SET DEFAULT_CONNECTION CRSQL_PROD_COPY
SQL SQLMSS EX spRPTManagingPartnerUnassignedOverridesbyCompany '20100228'; TABLE FILE SQLOUT PRINT * ENDThis message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,
Based on Access to multiple datasets returned from stored procedure what you need to accomplish may be possible through the use of a master file defined on the Stored Procedure in which each result set will be "mapped" as a segment.
I don't know whether or not that feature is available for SQL passthru though. This message has been edited. Last edited by: njsden,
Although this case is not particularly about SQL Server stored procedures, it clearly explains that only one data set can be accessed by SQL passthru via SQLOUT. To access 2 or more data sets the use of synonyms (master files) is required.
