Can anybody explain the fact that when a I run the the following procedure in ALPHA format: SET MSG=OFF DEFINE FILE &filename DATE/YY-M-D = HDATE(DATETIME,'YYMD'); END TABLE FILE &filename SUM MAX DATE ON TABLE HOLD FORMAT ALPHA AS MAXDTVAL END
-RUN -HTMLFORM BEGIN !IBI.FIL.MAXDTVAL; -HTMLFORM END
I get a result like: "20110310"
And in HTML, "2011-03-10" as expected.
Thanks in advanced, Carlos Dias

If you do a hold format alpha, what happens is that the fields are written to the hold file in a sort of internal format. When you output to html, the result is written is display-foramt. These two formats may (will) differ.
