[SOLVED]ReportCaster Administration Best Practices
Hi all,

Running WF 8.1.0.5M

Quick question about ReportCaster administration, and was unable to find it in any of the online manuals or Focal Point forums.

We currently have all our Schedules sitting in individual content folders along with the Fex's and other files for the reports. Is it possible to consolidate the schedules (for our centrally developed business reports) into a central folder, and call it say "Central Schedules" so its easier for our admins to have one place to go see and manage all our internal RC content?

Or are there any drawbacks to migrating the schedules into a central folder and away from the reports they were created from?

Just wondering what the best accepted practice is?

I prefer all of our IT-developed schedules to be in the same folder. I see no drawbacks to that approach. It's way easier to find stuff.

Thanks Mike,

I think that's the approach we're going to take. We have multiple administrative teams handling different depts, so we will probably break them up that way, but keep the centrally developed reports together per business area.

I agree with Mike, but just checking what you mean exactly: do you mean the schedules in the ReportCaster being in the 'admin' folder or are you talking about the fex's (the ones being sent by ReportCaster) in the MRE domains?
