I've searched the entire forum for a solution. Though there been several comments over the years, covering a variety of WebFOCUS versions, there seems to be no agreement on a solid solution. I've tried, but have not a solution that works for me So here we go again:
I have a physical (hard-copy) pdf report produced from 5 compounded WebFOCUS reports. The layout can be described as follows:
Physical Page 1 ----------------------- This page consists of 3 compounded WebFOCUS reports. The 1st and 2nd WebFOCUS reports are fixed length (have a fixed number of lines). The 3rd WebFOCUS report, which will always start on the 1st physical page, could possibly spill over into a 2nd physical page.
Physical Page 2?, 3?, 4?..... --------------------------------------- Depending on what physical page the 3rd WebFOCUS report ends, the 4th WebFOCUS report will start at the top of the next physical page. The 4th WebFOCUS report could possibly spill over into the next physical page.
Physical Page 3?, 4?, 5?..... --------------------------------------- Depending on what physical page the 4th WebFOCUS report ends, the 5th WebFOCUS report will start at the top of the next physical page. The 5th WebFOCUS report could possibly spill over into the next physical page.
NOTE: 1. There will only be a physical report if there are results returned for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd reports; they share the same results but display it 3 different levels of detail. 2. However, the 4th and 5th reports, which are independent of each other, may not be generated, so its possible to have the 5th report (without any 4th report) immediately follow the 3rd report.
How can I properly number the physical pages regardless of the lengths of the 3rd, 4th and 5th reports? I'm using both WF 7.6.
