Hi We are using WebFOCUS 764 on Unix box and our Dev Studio is on Windows. Currently they are upgrading the OS to Windows7 and Microsoft office 2010. Is WebFOCUS764 supported with Excel 2010.

We should also wonder if Information Builders has an alternative. I've created several Excel templates used by WebFOCUS reports. The organization I work at is planning to upgrade to Office 2007. As far as I know, the only way to continue to edit the Excel templates is to keep Excel 2003 running on at least one PC.

Give me code, or give me retirement. In FOCUS since 1991
Production: WF 7.7.05M, Dev Studio, BID, MRE, WebSphere, DB2 / Test: WF 8.1.05M, App Studio, BI Portal, Report Caster, jQuery, HighCharts, Apache Tomcat, MS SQL Server
We are also planning an upgrade to Office 2010 from Office 2003. We are on 7.6.11. Let me see if I have this correct because we have numerous reports that use .mht files.
Basically, to create or update .mht files, one has to have a copy of Excel 2003 available.
Excel 2010 will properly use the .mht file from Excel 2003 but will not properly create or update.
Is that about it?
In FOCUS since 1985. Prod WF 8.0.08 (z90/Suse Linux) DB (Oracle 11g), Self Serv, Report Caster, WebServer Intel/Linux.

There is also supposed to be an alternative template format in Excel 2007 that is supported in 7.7. This format does not support macros, though. I got this information as part of our research for the next release (we haven't tried this yet).
