Hi,
Is there a way to read the Group_name/ID inside the MRE Fex or launch page?

Thanks,
DD

I don't think it's possible to determine the MRE Group of a MRE user. I think this is because a MRE user can belong to more than one group.

It is possible to pass other variables to a MRE fex, including User, Domain, Report Name and Fex name:

From the "WebFOCUS Security and Administration Version 7 Release 6.1 and higher" manual:

quote:
Using Managed Reporting Internal Variables

Log into the WebFOCUS Administration Console and select Custom Settings from the
Configuration menu. Paste the following lines at the bottom of this file (you must not write
over the existing lines in this file, and this file must begin with the line).
IBIMR_user(pass)
IBIMR_domain(pass)
MR_FULL_FEXNAME(pass)
MR_ITEM_HANDLE(pass)

Adding my 2 cents:

DRIVE:/IBI/WebFOCUSXX/MREXTRACT.bat generates 5 files stored in the same path:

IBIMRDOM.TXT
IBIMRDMC.TXT
IBIMRUSR.TXT
IBIMRROL.TXT
IBIMRGRP.TXT

You can write a master for these and generate a report, ampere variables, etc...

Once logged into MRE, you can query the users groups from a Web Call.

/ibi_apps/WFServlet?IBIMR_action=MR_GET_USER_GROUPS&IBIMR_Random={random number}&IBIMR_returntype=mrexml

Waz...
