Hi Kyle,
Basically a unique join is a one-to-one, where each host record has at most one matching record in the cross-referenced file.
A non-unique is a one-to-many, where each record can have multiple matching records in the cross-referenced file.
Check the doc for more info.
Hope this helps.

Kyle,

As a start, I would be inclined to have single occurences of a PRODUCTID in PRODUCT and multiple occurences in QUANTATY (Quantity?). In addition I would ensure that there are some records in PRODUCT that do not occur in QUANTATY. This combination should provide most scenarios for you.

Basically what you need is an understanding of how to construct test data and for that I would suggest contacting the testers within your company who should have an idea how to help you further. If you do not have any testers that know how to construct test data then you might want to turn to your religion if you have one.
