I have controls that are populated via fexes in a managed reporting domain that are just stubs that call reports on the reporting server via:
-MRNOEDIT -INCLUDE ....
When I run the FEX by itself, it runs. However the HTML Composer pops up an error that it is an unrecognized control line and of course it doesn't populate the controls or let me set the settings for the controls properly. Anyone know of what I'm supposed to do differently or is this just a bug...?This message has been edited. Last edited by: ChannyS,
-MRNOEDIT is a way of telling MRE that whatever follows doesn't having anything to do with MRE so take it as-is and execute. That being said, you can't expect any MR tools to now what to do with it (like it doesn't know what to do do with most of the Dialogue Manager commands.)
My suggestion would be to put in a dummy control and when you are finished with the Composer, replace the necessary code with your call to the procedure. OR move your fex into managed reporting.

Darin
