I have got this BigIP from our desktop team but i am wondering what configuration change would be required on the WebFOCUS side. Can somebody please guide me with some documention or instructions?
Thanks in advance.

Providing that what you call "BigIP" is correctly defined to your DNS server you need do nothing, IF your WebFocus server and client are installed and configured using the "BigIP".
The reason for using "BigIP" is so that IT network management can change IP addresses for servers with no impact on the systems. (A static IP address is only static untill it changes).
Check your WebFocus server, Client, WebServer and application server to ensure that they use the "BigIP"
If the do then you have no problem except to ensure that all your WebFocus code references using a relative URL and not a full URL
for example it must be /ibi_apps/WFServlet?IBF_ex=Carinst
Thanks JG, The problem is the installation was done using IP : port address. Now we have got the DNS name but configuration files would be having IP : port address. Don't know which all configuration files required to be changed.

The best thing to do is search the \ibi\ folder and sub-folders for the IP address.
That way you will find all the configuration files and any application files (if your apps folder is in the standard location) that are affected. You will also have to check and possibly change entries for the Web Server and application server
After making any changes manually you must restart your web server, application server WebFocus server and Report Caster if you use it
The principle configuration files are
odin.cfg cgivars.cfg
+ the report caster configuration file (dserver.xmls), however this is encrypted and can not be changed manually without a great deal of effort (decrypt, change and encrypt).
If possible make your changes using the WebFocus administration console and the Report Caster Administration console that way you know they are correctly applied.
Has this issue been resolved on your side? Many thanks to JG's input too.
Just to make an additional note: regarding configuration problems, the best channel for assistance would be to open a case with Information Builders' Customer Support Services, as you can have Remote Assist sessions with the consultants. To open a case, you may either call at 1-800-736-6130, or access online at InfoResponse.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Kerry
