We have a need from our auditors to know if an email that distributes a report by ReportCaster is read or not. This would be the read-receipt option in Outlook. I am going to open an NFR but I was wondering if other customers also have this need. Please add your thoughts. Thanks, BobThis message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,

Interesting concept, but I don't know if that should be the responsibility of ReportCaster. Would be interesting to see their approach. Additionally this may be handled differently for Outlook, Notes, GroupWise, etc. There might be some way to set up a request receipt through the mail server for a specific "From" address.
Regards,
Darin

I knew it wouldn't be easy in that RC supports generic SMTP. The user requesting the capability expanded the need to the point I told him it was not appropriate for RC. He wanted to know if a report was opened and the ability to add comments. I told him that Outlook needs the capabiity before RC could potentially piggyback off of it.
