Trying to retrieve NT userid in my report but it seems not working(gives the Webfocus server userid) when I run my report directly in browsing using the url,
Console connections use IWA (Integrated Windows Authentication), so your actual connecting userid is your lan or operating system userid. When you run via the servlet, your wfs connection is not using IWA. Your backend connection is done .... how ever the environment was configured.
How your environment is configured will determine the best approach to passing the current user to the reporting server. Can you shed any light on how web focus is configured in your environment?

That sounds kind of sketchy for security. You want to open up a case with IBI Techsupport and ask for a recommended SECURE way of passing user id's to WebFOCUS.
