Hello, i am building a HTML Form with some listboxes and i want to add mouseover function on the content of the list_boxes. The contentent is sometimes to large for the list_box width and so i think a mouseover makes sence.

I think you will need to explain further, and perhaps supply an example.

Hi WAZ,
in my form i have a listbox with suppliernames rundabout 300, this listbox has a width of 200px and i can not make it wider. i think a mouseover obove the supllier shows the full name, so im sure, that i chosed the right one.

I would have thought that this is a simple piece of javascript.
Also, it depends on which browser you are using.
The title attribute will show on most browsers, the other option is the mouse over/out.
There are probably many more.
<html>
<head>
<script type="text/javascript">
<!--
function valdisp(_Obj,_Over) {
var _DispObj = document.getElementById('valititle') ;
if (_Over) {
_DispObj.innerText=_Obj.options[_Obj.selectedIndex].text ;
}
else {
_DispObj.innerText=" " ;
}
}
//-->
</script>
</head>
<body>
<span name=valititle id=valititle></span>
<br>
<select name="valselc" style="width:100px" onmouseover="valdisp(this,true)" onmouseout="valdisp(this,false)">
<option value="1" title="short value" selected>short value
<option value="2" title="long value number 1">long value number 1
<option value="3" title="long value number 2">long value number 2
<option value="4" title="long value number 3">long value number 3
</select>
</body>
</html>
