I created a URL in DevStudio to access a file link to an existing pdf. The URL opens the file fine from DevStudio, but when I reference the URL for dashboard content, I get the "page cannot be displayed" error when it runs.

If a hyperlink to the document is present in an html page that is part of content, I can access the file fine at that point, so I suspect security is not an issue.

Does anyone know of a way that a pdf can be loaded in a content tab upon entry?

Thanks, Brad

I assume you mean a file:// link. If so then you should know that those only work for (1) your own local machine (2) others whose share name exactly matches the drive used.

You should be using an http:// link if you want to PUBLISH content.

This is really a general Web question by the way. It's not specific to WebFOCUS.

If the file in question is in your app directory structure, you need to refer to it as follows:

http://your_machine_name.yourcompany.com_or_whatever/ap...pp/your_pdf_file.pdf

Hope this helps.
