jvb, obiee is a nightmare. the worst part...well, there are 2 worst parts... 1) whenever any change gets made, the entire repository has to get migrated to production. 2) a developer has no idea what the data looks like, and has to develop from scratch thru the business layer thru to the presentation layer without ever having been able to RUN anything.
the presentation layer shows all the extracted records in what equates to a webviewer = on situation. No way to show aggregates, drilling to detail, which is so common for wf. its just a nightmare. Its an immature tool, bought by oracle from some third party, and foisted on its customer community.

jvb, depends on what you call a user. to a developer, obiee is user-antagonistic, b/c there's nothing you can do. An end user, is, well, sol. this thing is a tool, where wf is a language. all the mental process, if any, is in the hands of the oracle dbas. in that way, this thing panders to the dumbing down of the workforce.
