Hi, I have a maintain requirement where i want to have searchable Field on the screen.i.e, When user enters a value in the textbox, the list of releated values are displayed in grid.Suppose, User enters 'd' in the Editbox then all the values which starts with 'dev' is displayed below that Grid. Maintain won't allow the like option using WHERE. Is there any way to do this task in maintain? Please suggest a approach for this.
Thanks in advanceThis message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,
So if the user enters in D, you want ONLY the values that start with D? Let's say your edit box is attached to a field called val. When the user enters a value and presses search you can use:
case search compute val2/a50 = val || 'ZZZ'; -* I will use the movies file as an example Reposition Moviecode stack clear titlestk for all next moviecode into titlestk where title ge val and title le val2; Endcase
This example creates an upper and lower bound and returns only the values between them. Let me know if you need something else.

Wow, deja vu, Mark. It was 1997-98 and you provided the same solution to the exact same question I had for a Maintain app. But there was no FocalPoint at that time, just your direct line at IBI for any Maintain questions. Mark Rawls gave me your phone number.
