Pls help me with the following scenario 1st table COL-1 1 2 3
2nd table COL-1 1 2 4
3rd table COL-1 1 2 3 4
I want to get the above 3rd table [which is a union of table1.col1 and table2.col1) o in my result. I know with UNION I could achieve this in SQL but want to do this in IA+. Pls help.
thank youThis message has been edited. Last edited by: NewBee...WF8,
Read the section of the manual on MATCH FILE. It's easy to achieve what you want with MATCH logic. I could write the code for you but you won't learn anything that way.

You could, possibly, perform something similar to a UNION in IA+ by doing a TABLE ... HOLD AS PART1... TABLE ... HOLD AS PART2... then JOINing those two HOLD files to get your results.
But, as FP Mod Chuck said "Union is not an option with that tool." (IA+)
