[CLOSED]Can you use wildcard in prompted filters?
I'm building my reports with InforAssist. I want to have my users put in a partial ID number (like *123456) as a prompted filter. Is that possible?

Hello Melissa,

you can use the filter condition "Contains characters", enter the search value without wildcards(*) that works.
If the simple filter function doesn't offer this condition, take the advanced filter.
Also available is the "Like character mask", it works like the "Contains characters", but I don't know the difference.
Have a nice day

Bernd

Thank you, I was able to get the "contains characeters" to work exactly as I needed.

or use LIKE

and teach your users to use % as a wildcard and a _ as a wild character.
