This is a bit excessive, and uses a remote call to the loopback node of the reporting server, as well as the EMGSRV setting to route output to a file, but seems to work.
SET EMGSRV = FILE
-RUN
REMOTE DEST = LOOPBACK
-REMOTE BEGIN
? FILE CAR
-REMOTE END
-RUN
SET EMGSRV = ON
-RUN
EX -LINES * EDAPUT MASTER,EMGFILE,CV,FILE
FILENAME=EMGFILE, SUFFIX=FIX,$
SEGNAME=EMGFILE, $
FIELD=LINE ,ALIAS= ,A255 ,A255 ,$
EDAPUT*
-RUN
TABLE FILE EMGFILE
PRINT *
END
