MONTHLY WEB SEMINAR SERIES We are currently looking for some topic suggestions for our Summer Seminar Series. If there are any other topics that you are interested in now is your chance!
This free Web seminar series has been specifically created to meet the needs of the developer and end-user communities. Hosted by product experts, the presentations will include programming tips and techniques, general product information, and demonstrations. Presentations will vary in length from 40 minutes to one hour depending upon the topic.
Following each presentation, there will be an opportunity to ask questions via live, online chat sessions with the presenters. (Note: You must fill out the evaluation form and be a registered member of Focal Point to attend the live chat sessions.)
Each session will be recorded and available on the Information Builders Developer Center. Just select the On-Demand Seminars and Tutorials link under the "Learn More" section, or review some of the customer reviews for each recorded event at the bottom of this post.
We're always on the lookout for topics of interest and guest/customer presenters. If anyone has suggestions please share them, or if you see a topic and would like to co-present/make a cameo/share a tip, send Kathleen Butler or Kery Zhann a private message.
Thanks a bunch!

Kathleen - why not have webinars about new features and an overview of upgrade requirements whenever a new version comes out/ Like a demo now of the new features in the latest release. It would be nice to actually see the new functionality and not just read about it.

Hi Tom - I am actually working on putting together a WebFOCUS Update Webcast within the next 3 weeks. As soon as I have it set it up I will highlight it on the board.
Have a great weekend! Kathleen

Kathleen, this is a request to please reconsider providing the powerpoint presentations... If I want to review a presentation, I have to enter my contact information each time, and I have no way to reference the materials without pausing and taking screenshots... even they aren't the greatest because I have no way to maximize the screen so I can better see the presentation.

carolina, you can just hit submit and not reenter any info, your desktop cookies should have saved the basics and that's enuf to satisfy the required fields of the forms evaluator. I for one am extremely appreciative of the fact that ibi does these presentations at all, and that they record them so that we can review them during non-peak work hours, and that they'll inventory them on their server and not clutter my desktop is the gravy. That ibi wants to know who we are when we re-view them just comes with the territory...and its part of their marketing...if they can't count the re-views, they can't justify the expense of making them available... all in all , huge applause.

Hi, Kathleen Is a description available for this seminar? I'm trying to decide if this might be useful for a few folks in my organization that have expressed an interest in using dashboard. Thanks for your help.
Hello - We do not have a ppt for the Dashboard presentation because it is going to be mainly a demo. If this changes I will let you know. The recording will be posted to the website by Tuesday of next week.
Or please let me know if you are interested in getting some training classes, so that I can forward the message to our education specialists for further info.
Cheers,
Kerry
