I am summing two defined percent fields in a Bubble Graph request. I am using the setTextFormatPreset(getY1Label(),2); and setTextFormatPreset(getX1Label(),2); When I use this percent format, my X and Y percents are being displayed as hundreds. If I sum and compute my percent calculations and divide them by 100, my X and Y percents display the way percents should display, but this distorts my ToolTip display. Is there anyway to display the Y and X axis as normal percents instead of percents displayed in hundreds? Thanks.
Unfortunately specifying the percentage sign within Perspective for Java (the Graphstyle code) has the outcome that the value is divided by 100 before the label text is written to the data stream.
One method you could use to circumvent this shortcoming is to force the axis labels yourself as per this post by JG back in November 2005. The method is still applicable to your release.
Good luck

I had a flash of inspiration (yes, not a common occurence ) and thought of the unicode substitutions that you can do but whenever I tried the "normal" unicode value for a percentage sign it still seemed to trap it and mulitply by 100 before displaying the label.
All is not lost though if you are prepared to accept the arabic version as the SW doesn't seem to trap that one
My hat is off to Tony A. Tony, your last reply was a stoke of genius. I tried your suggestion and he looks great to me. I will try to convince the users to accept this display. I apologize for not getting back sooner. My department was involved in moving to another floor. Many Many Many thanks again to Tony A. I love it!
Tony, just letting you know that I got user acceptance for my bubble graphs using the arabic percent sign. It appears that they didn't even notice the difference. Thanks again. You are truly a life saver.
