I know that Android has an Excel viewer App but I suspect that it cannot work with web Archive files (EXL2K format) Try sending it a format EXCEL If that works then that is the reason. (basically the same issue as with Open Office)

That reminds me: When are we going to see support for Open Document Format? I'd even settle for true generic Excel (not embedded in the browser) at this point .... It's true that we can save the servelet as EXL97 and then import it into a Lotus Symphony spreadsheet (having then to fix up the formatting of the headers) but it's really time that IBI got off the pot and provided native ODS output.
