Man-o-day is it tough to find this stuff on the IBI web site. There's so much stuff for Version 7 that it's hard to find what I'm looking for.

I'm looking to provide access to InfoAssist via Portals for some users in a multi-portal system where I want to compartmentalize what master files they have access to.

Can somebody point me in the direction of a doc that gives an Introduction to WebFOCUS 8.0 Security? When I type things like that into the document search engine I get hundreds of hits and most of them are just using the word "security" in a marketing sense, not a here's-how-you-do-it" sense.

There appears to be a convoluted method of getting to the documentation.

First, go here: http://infocenter.informationb...om/wf81rel/index.jsp

Then, open "Security and Administration". Then click on "WebFOCUS Security and Administration". If you're already logged in to Tech Support, a PDF should open. If not, you will be prompted to login to Tech Support. After logging in, the PDF should open.

From there, good luck.
