We are in the middle of redesigning our dashboard in preparation to roll out for a single signon environment. We would very much like to control who sees which tabs based on security. Has any one been able to successfully implement this? Lest I forget we are also in the midst of converting end users from MRE to BID.I have searched the IBI help briefly and found some reference to controlling access to templates but I am not sure if this is heading me in the right directionThis message has been edited. You are in luck. Since you are moving from the MR Environment with its built in security to the BID environment where you create your own. The Dashboard in now completely under your direction. You can create a table/file with the Users ID and the different TAB access they have. Also, you can create a table for Report access also. Please be aware that they are multiple security applications that you can now access without to much coding. These can be based upon the Single Signon (WSL_) information that you pass (Roles/Department/Country ...). which will tell you the Tabs/Reports/Tables/Columns that the person has access. I have created a dashboard for a couple of clients dynamically on the fly using this process.
