Most of these solutions involve downloading drivers from Google, which is all cases is - down. I'm hoping it's a transitory problem. I can't do a reinstall until a certain person returns to work, so I'm still here, but stuck for reasons outside the scope of the forum.

Someone dropped by and showed me how to change the default browser, which we changed to IE, and it worked. All of your answers and Google itself pointed ultimately to Chrome. I've tried to download ChromeDriver, but the Google site just leaves you deadlocked. I assume this is a temporary problem, but even if it isn't, I can still move forward on IE.
